2:00AM mess up

So most places in the States get about 20 inches of rain in a year and they bitch - F - U Las Vegas and your perfect dry climate. Well, FL gets about 60 inches, and we've already gotten 32. And I think most of it came down yesterday ON MY HOUSE. But when inspiration hits there's nothing you can do.

In the middle of a downpour - of fucking Biblical proportions - I had an idea, but no fabric. I ran out to the fabric store in the rain and got this really pretty blue fabric. I then came back home and made a mock-up of a new dress idea. The mock-up came out fine. I then stayed up until 2:00AM making the dress and in the end it just wasn't what I wanted. Luckily I bought twice as much fabric as I needed so I can remake it today. That's the bad dress in the shit can.

just for fun...

Historias del paraiso 2

I know many of you dont understand spanish very well but trust me, its just a silly joke

basically those animal are too bored on the jungle, till the  Jaguar comes with a great idea to have fun...

the idea was that everyone tell a joke but if not EVERYONE  laughs the one who told the joke will receive  "Pamba" (lots of punches in the head) -i know thats cruel- ... so as you can see every one laughs  except  the turtle...  in the end the turtle laughs before  the toucan finish his joke, and says "har har har! the joke of the crocodile was hilarious!"

I know its stupid, but hey the turtles are  slow for everything :P

P.S. its funnier in spanish

pics of my house

Megan is playing my 1957 Harmony
H162 - she's not actually playing here, she's tuning it. I scored that guitar for $40 a few weeks ago. It's my best sounding guitar.

Behind her is a dresser from the 1940's that I snagged for $25 five years ago. You'll be seeing lots of it in the next weeks weeks because I really like the color.

This bookshelf is from Ikea. There's a couple of funny things here. First, all of those books are double stacked - there's a whole other row of books behind what you see. Second, this was a display model when I bought it. It was half price, but the catch was that I had to take it as-is with no delivery. So, my boyfriend and I brought his truck down to load it up. We measured the truck and checked it against the dimensions listed on the Ikea website -WRONG!! The shelf was a half inch bigger than the site said. When we attempted to take it apart to load it, I undid one screw and the thing fell into 50 pieces. So yeah, we like to read a lot over here.

Right next to Megan's head is a copy of The Little Prince. It's my favorite book ever. This copy is in Spanish and I got it from the largest, most prestigious bookstore in Argentina.

I live in a typical Florida house. Those of you who watch Dexter know what that is. Rachel is standing in what we call a "Florida room." I made the dress from scratch and the look and fit are spot on vintage 1950's. I'll have them up on etsy is sizes S, M, and L.

The super cute animal paintings came from Berkley Illustration on etsy.
The hardcover copy of The Little Prince is from the mid-50's and it's a first edition in English.

I hope these pics and stories inspire you to go out and find something cool for your place. As you can see, sometimes you don't really need a lot of money to make things look cool. Let me know what you find.

Dr. Mean • Tutorial Parte 1

i invented this cartoon for "La Voz" magazine... the main character its called Tucanuto (for toucan) it a funny bird always in trouble...

The Yellow Submarine style...Bob Marley

Its an old draw, but i guess its a great date to post it... a day like this on 1981 he lose the fight against cancer... long live to the "Buffalo soldier"

The Yellow Submarine style...John Lennon, Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull

I made this draws for a friend Bar, the place was called ¨The Yellow Sub¨ you get the whole idea of the illustrations ... so the place was supposed to be painted like the ¨Yellow Submarine¨ movie directed by George Dunning , and the unique character design of Mr. Heinz Eidelmann... rock artists all over the place, from Janis to Eric Burdon, and The Who Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend etc... but in the end nothig was done and i had a bunch of sketches of artists from the 60´s in this style...
